During an Instagram Q&A recently, a follower asked me to share more recommendations for great dining tables, so I wanted to put together another selection. Johnny and I both agree that our dining table has been one of the most meaningful furniture purchases we've made for our home.
We spent six months saving for it before finally buying it, and being able to gather family and friends around it for meals has made it incredibly special. It’s the kind of furniture piece we expect to enjoy for many years, and I hope you and your loved ones can find that same sense of comfort and happiness in your home.
West Elm Ellington Oval Pedestal Dining Table
I love the way light blonde wood can make a room feel brighter and more open. Since many interiors already contain plenty of straight lines and sharp corners, the softly curved shape of this dining table is especially appealing. Its rounded silhouette creates a gentler look, while the fluted detailing gives the table a fresh, contemporary character.
AllModern Hagen Dining Table
Some of my favorite dining tables have small design elements that make them noticeably different from ordinary options. This table combines a mid-century-inspired aesthetic with industrial influences, while its mirrored details add an unexpected and distinctive touch. Another major advantage is its accessible price, especially considering the design.
Pottery Barn Rockfall Marble Oval Dining Table
Marble has always been one of my favorite materials for furniture, and this dining table shows why. The marble surface brings a sense of warmth and natural beauty to the design. Combined with the iron base, the mixture of materials and complementary tones creates an elegant, sophisticated appearance.
Modern Round White Dining Table
This table is one of the more budget-friendly choices in the collection. The sintered stone top has the appearance of marble, giving it an elevated look without the traditional marble construction. What really catches my attention, though, is the steel base. The unusual cutout details give the foundation a sculptural quality and make the entire table feel much more distinctive.
Pottery Barn Modern Farmhouse Round Pedestal Extending Dining Table
There is something especially appealing about the understated design of this dining table. Its clean and uncomplicated appearance makes it easy to incorporate into different interiors, while the extending function provides additional flexibility. It’s particularly practical for anyone who enjoys entertaining guests or expects to move into a different home in the future.
Arhaus Ilaria Dining Table
The craftsmanship of this table is truly impressive. Each piece has its own character because it is handcrafted in Italy using locally sourced travertine. The natural material, combined with the carefully shaped edges and curves, gives the table a strong presence and makes it feel more like a work of art than an ordinary dining surface.
McGee & Co. Antoni Extension Dining Table
Of course, I had to include our own dining table in this collection of favorites. Even after three years, we still genuinely love it. The quality of its construction has held up beautifully, and one of its biggest advantages is its impressive extension capability. When fully expanded, it reaches an incredible 118 inches, making it especially useful when we're hosting larger groups.
CB2 Lola Round Concrete Dining Table
This table comfortably seats four, which makes it a particularly practical choice for a smaller apartment or compact home. Its versatility is another major benefit. If you move later, it could easily transition from a dining area into a breakfast nook or even an entryway. With its bold, sculptural shape, it has enough visual impact to stand on its own without requiring much additional decoration.
Anthropologie Quillen Marquetry Double Pedestal Dining Table
I absolutely adore the detailing on this walnut veneer dining table. The beautiful marquetry work gives the surface a refined and artistic appearance, while the brass accents add another layer of sophistication. The tapered geometric pedestal legs also contribute to its distinctive look. It has so much character that you really don’t need to add much to the tabletop—placemats, flowers, or elaborate decorations could almost distract from the table itself.
Burke Decor Versailles Dining Table
What stands out most to me about this dining table is the way it combines traditional and contemporary elements. The tabletop has a classic appearance, while the base introduces a more modern aesthetic. At first glance, the design may seem understated, but the closer you look, the more its distinctive character becomes apparent. It’s a subtle statement piece that can bring both elegance and personality to a dining space.
